This article features interesting and entertaining facts about rock bands and musicians, including Nirvana, Bon Jovi, Kiss, Motley Crue, Poison, Van Halen and Def Leppard
The world of rock’ n roll is full of interesting events. Below are 8 entertaining trivia facts about rock musicians, stories behind songs and the private lives.
To name the band Van Halen was band’s former singer David Lee Roth’s idea.
Van Halen guitarist/co-founder Eddie Van Halen played his guitar behind his back often so that his fans wouldn't be able imitate his unique guitar-playing skills.
Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora’s ex-wife Heatler Locklear’s first marriage was to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee.
During one Def Leppard interview, front man Joe Elliot was asked what the most ridiculous thing they had read about themselves was. Lead singer Joe answered: “I read that I was dead”.
Bon Jovi's 1986 hit “You give love a bad name” from the Slippery When Wet album is about actress Diane Lane. Jon and Diane dated for a really short period of time in the 80s.
Glam rock band Poison's1988 hit “Every rose has its thorn” gives the impression that it is a romantic song that talks about the ups and downs about a relationship.” The reality is, Brett Michaels wrote the song after his girlfriend left him for another musician who had more money and a car.. However Poison made it big and Brett's career took off. So the thorn symbolizes his girlfriend and the rose is his career.
KISS are best known for their make-up and their outrageous stage outfits that match. For years, they didn’t take the make-up off at their concerts or backstage. So without the make-up, no one recognized them in the street. Then they made an appearance on Jay Leno and came out with their identities. Even with the make-up, they had a lot of groupies. In fact, Gene Simmons once admitted that some of the girls found it hot.
Jon Bon Jovi hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live in 2007. The opening stint had him in the 80s, visiting SNL cast member Amy Koehler when she was a teen and Jon was in his Slippery When Wet days. The episode involved many jokes about the band, Jon himself and the songs. Bon Jovi performed two songs and Foo Fighters also sang a song as they were the official musical guests.
Foo Fighters guitarist and singer Dave Grohl played the drums for Nirvana.
Actor Edward Norton is friends with Kurt Cobain’s wife and Hole singer Courtney Love, who he met during the filming of The People vs. Larry Flynt.
Always have been a big fan of Eddie Van Halen, but "Diamond
Dave" rules. I'd have to say, out of all the members of Kiss, Ace
Frehley would definitely be my favorite. Poison and Bon Jovi are
making great come-backs, which is great ,'cause I'm hopelessly
trapped in the 80's, lol. Cool article and great tribute to a few
of the greatest rockers!
I am glad I am not the only one addicted to the great riffs of
the 80s! What I love about Kiss- in addition to the great music and
fun lyrics- is that all members can sing rocknroll! They all have
great voices.

To qualify as a working coupon, the link or code must provide a discount above and beyond what's freely available by default on the vendor's site.
To check this, first click the link and check that the coupon can be applied and does provide the discount described. Then, in a different browser, open the vendor's site (without using the Knoji link) and check whether that same discount is available to any user by default. If it's not, and the coupon works, then you've found a qualified coupon and can verify it and get your earnings. If not, you can verify that it does not work (explain why this is) and you'll earn a smaller credit.
Don't waste your time verifying invalid coupons! Before you receive payment, all your verifications will be reviewed, and if they are invalid, you earnings will be deleted. Verify only valid coupons in order to receive payment for this project.
Very interesting article. I've enjoyed reading it :-)
